
Adishwar Temple – Pali
Adishwar Temple famously known by other name ‘Chaumukha Temple’ also. This 15th century temple shrine known for the unique architectural style of a Nalinigulm Vimana, a heavenly aircraft. This Adishwar Temple took 65 years for the construction and is the largest Jain temples. Temple has three storeys, 80 domes, and 29 halls. Visitors get surprise by seeing the pavilions of the temple which are supported by 1444 pillars. The innermost part of the temple is adorned with a four faced image of Lord Adinath or Rishabhdev.
The Adishwar Temple or the Chaumukha Temple belongs to 15th century and was built as a heavenly aircraft, a Nalinigulm Vimana that was supposedly seen in a dream by Shah, the temple’s builder. It is the largest Jain temple in the region and it took sixty five years to complete it. It is very complex and is considered to be one of the five most important holy shrines of Jains, in India.
