Ranthambore National Park is at a distance of 14 kms from Sawai Madhopur region of eastern Rajasthan in India. The Park gets its name from the Ranth-ambhor Fort which is inside its areas. The Park is covered with Vindhyas and Aravalis slop range. By the turn of the century the Ranthambore timberlands had turned into the private chasing stores of the Maharaja of Jaipur and Sanctuary sets up in the year 1955 by the Indian Government and was announced as Project Tiger holds in the year 1973.

It recognized as National Park in the year 1980 and later in the year 1991 the Ranthambore Tiger Reserve was made.Area was 1334 km. It also bound by the Chambal River in the south and Banas in the north. In 2006, Ranthambhore Tiger Reserve (RTR) was roughly 1394 Km and later on woods division has extended including center and cradle territory accordingly it is approx 1410.64 sq km.

The Ranthambore National Park was once the hunting ground of the Maharajas of Jaipur. The rivers Chambal in the South and Banas in the North bound the Ranthambore National Park in Rajasthan India. Six man made lakes are the central focus of the Ranthambore park and many other things which are Present in the entire park. The Ranthambore National Park has internal drainage and has no connection with any river system, even though two rivers bound the Park in it’s north and south side.

Ranthambhore is for all intents and purposes an island rich in widely varied vegetation, amplify more than a zone of 392 sq. kms. of profound backwoods with channels and waterfalls. The plants of the National Park is the tropical dry deciduous and tropical spike sort. Because of its sloping way, water is constrained to limit valleys and many lakes.There are a few lakes in the Ranthambhore which is known as The Padam Talab, the Raj Bagh Talab and the Malik Talab in the area. Ranthambore National Park is likely the best place on the planet to see wild tigers furthermore thought to be the best place on the planet for photography of the tiger in its lone dry deciduous normal living space. It is a home for various types of creatures.

The  populace Animals chital, sambar, blue bull and chinkara. Samabr deer is the pride of park. There is no park in Asia, where these biggest of all Asiatic deer can be seen so regularly in the day time. Wild pigs and langurs are regular scene , Among the reptiles, crocodiles can be seen when the sun close to the lake. Different carnivores in the National park panther, hyena , jackal, caracals, wilderness feline , clatter and the tiger is the greatest fascination of the Ranthambhore. There are more than 300 assortments of feathered creatures in Ranthambore National Park.
