Glimpses of Teej Festival | तीज त्यौहार 2016, Jaipur

Teej Festival :-The Hindu festival of Teej is organized on July / August and symbolized the union of Shiva and Parvati. It is a three day festival, where women pray for blessings their marital bliss. The teej festival is marked by colorful parties, especially by the womenfolk, who enjoy songs, dance and swing rides. Young girls and married women apply henna tattoos on these festivals. Women wear beautiful saris and jewellery, and visit temples to offer their special prayers to goddess Parvati. Ghewar is a special sweet prepared, distributed and after offered to the deities.

तीज का त्यौहार सावन और भाद्रपद के महीनो में आने वाले त्योहारों में महत्वपूर्ण स्थान रखता है। सावन और भाद्रपद चातुर्मास के पहले दो महीने होते है । इन दो महीनो में तीन बार Teej मनाने का अवसर मिलता है। ये है –

हरियाली तीज
कजली या सातुड़ी तीज और
हरतालिका तीज।

महिलायें तीज का व्रत करती है। तीज के इस त्यौहार का इंतजार महिलाओं को हमेशा रहता है। बारिश का मौसम होने से वातावरण सुहाना हो जाता है। चारों तरफ हरियाली फ़ैल जाती है। मन में उल्लास और उमंग जग जाते है। ऐसे में Teej के त्यौहार को मनाने का आनंद बहुत बढ़ जाता है।उत्तर भारत और पश्चिमी भारत के राज्य राजस्थान , पंजाब , उत्तर प्रदेश , मध्य प्रदेश और बिहार में Teej बड़े उत्साह के साथ मनाई जाती है। नेपाल में भी Teej का त्यौहार मनाया जाता है।
