1. Monsoon Palace

The white marble palace, located on the hilltop also known as Sajjangarh Fort. It was mainly built to keep track of the movement of monsoon by Maharana Sajjan Singh, hence named Monsoon Palace. The Palace comprises domes, fountains, jharokha and Chhatries which adds glory to the Rajasthani architecture. Although this palace is also popular as a sunset point, once you are at the top you feel a great panoramic 360-degree view of Fatehsagar lake and a lovely sunset. This is one of the coolest places for nature’s photography and one can get perfect clicks to remember Udaipur city.

2. Fateh Sagar Lake

Fatehsagar lake is the second artificial lake which comes under the list of most visit place in the lake city Udaipur. This pear-shaped lake is surrounded by the charming view of Aravali Mountain and the lake taking its outline by driving through Pratap Memorial that offers the feel of nature, water, and hills. The Fatehsagar lake which was named after Maharana Fateh Singh consists of three islands that can be reached by taking a boat ride. Two of them are converted into parks where one is named Nehru Park which is a scenic picnic spot and another is a public park with magnificent fountains. Over the third island the Udaipur Solar Observatory is situated. Lots of restaurants and coffee shops are around which gives eating a different fun.

3. Badi Lake

Badi lake is situated in a village of Badi which gave it the name Badi Ka Talab. It is an artificial lake built by Maharana Raj Singh who named it Jiyan Sagar after his mother Jana Devi. This lake is one of the major attractions of the people, tourism as well as teenagers as it gives us a break from the hustle and bustle of city life. 4. Bahubali Hills

Bahubali Hills is a hidden gem of Udaipur city although it is the highlight of the Badi lake. 5. Kumbhalgarh Fort

Kumbhalgarh fort is well known as the birthplace of Mewar’s legendary king Maharana Pratap. It has the second wall of the world that runs to the extent of  36 km on the hill of Aravalli range. It is the second-largest fort of India after Chittorgarh Fort. There are a wonderful arrangement of 360 + Hindu and Jain temples and the most scenic is Badal Mahal. 7. Amrakh Mahadev Temple

This is a place where you will find everything like nature’s beauty as well as the presence of lord Shiva, flora & fauna, picnic spots with Indian heritage, and the most important in today’s life “The Peace of Mind”. The Amrakh Ji Mahadev’s Temple has situated just 12 -13 km from Udaipur on Nathdwara Bypass near the Aravali ranges. The calm atmosphere, chirping of the birds, fishes in ponds, and lush greenery are those priceless things that will give you a heavenly pleasure. There are three gardens and two fish ponds, where one has turtles and another is the sacred Kund with one pair of the snakes. Pipliya Ji is one of the best Monsoon destinations of Udaipur. Just around 25 km from Udaipur you will step into the amazing monsoon point as this place is full of clouds which will give you heavenly pleasure. Pipliya Ji is a village and natural spot, the road to this place is narrow and awesome for bike rides. You can plan a trip to Pipliya Ji from early Morning to the evening before the sunsets. 9. Raita or Rayta Village

This  place is yet not declared as a tourism place by the government so you can go there on your own personal transport as public transports are already overloaded but don’t throw caution to the wind. 10. Nandeshwar Ji

 Nandeshwarji Mahadev is a temple of Lord Shiva named after Nandi who is vehicle (Sawari) of Mahadev Ji. This is a very famous picnic spot located at 15 km from Udaipur in the dale of mountains. During the rainy season, all water collects and passes through a river where you can sit beside and enjoy running water. You must visit Nandeshwarji  in Monsoon and enjoy an outing. You must bring your essentials with you as it is a natural spot and aren’t going to find any shop there.

11. Dudh Talai

If you want to experience the place close to the city center but far enough from the hustle and bustle of daily life, to feel the fresh air on the foothill of the temple where a beautiful pond with a garden surrounds you then Dudh Talai is the place which you are looking for. Dudh Talai is a dainty pond, bordering the beauty of Lake Pichola with fun activities around like a ropeway, camel and horse ride, boating, and cafes. The fascinating park Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyay Park and the Manikya Lal Verma garden with its stunning beauty besides sheltering the sunset point provides commendable views of the surroundings and the musical fountain.

12. Karni Mata

The sacred temple of Shri Mansapurna Karni Mata rests on the Machla Magara or Hill near Dudh Talai and There is the milky white idol of Goddess Karni which holds the power to fulfill wishes. The place covers the scenic view of nature and offers the top elevation of the city and lakes. The place is accessible by ropeway and even by stairs from Manikya Lal Verma Park. It is situated in the lap of nature while moving around the place you would feel like you are moving in a forest rather than a zoo. Mewar Biodiversity Park is located on NH8, Udaipur bypass, Amberi. This place is very nice for people to like to go for an adventure park & trekking in the serene Aravalli hills. This place has some activities like Zip-lining and tree walk. But it is mostly for viewing some plants and animals in their natural habitat. This place is named  Biodiversity park as you will see different species of flora and fauna. The best time would be in the monsoon season when there will be a lush green environment everywhere and pleasant weather.

18. City Palace Udaipur

The city palace is a magnificent palace and built with flamboyant architecture which makes you feel like legal royalty. Any word would be less to explain how beautiful this palace is and as it’s name picture it is complex situated inside the main of the city. This landmark comprises a large complex full of multiple architectural structures with acres of well-kept gardens in between. It usually takes 3 – 4 hours to cover this place. It very strikingly gives us a glimpse of Mewar’s history, culture, traditions, lifestyle and bravery, you can spend a whole day exploring that place, the architecture, carvings, lifestyle, etc.

19. Gulab Bhag

This place is home to childhood of almost all the citizens of Udaipur, surrounded by thousands of trees with ponds, library, temples and an open gym, this place is most popular for morning walk and picnic spot. There is a museum known as Victoria Hall Museum famous for its collection of antique, royal husbandry items and other interesting relics from past. 20. Jagdish Mandir

It’s the most famous temple of the town with fine artwork all around the temple. A must visit the place as located a few hundred feet from the City Palace’s Badi Pol. The temple is of Indo-Aryan architectural style and was built keeping the rules of Vastushastra. No entry ticket, photography is prohibited within the temple premise, however one can click pictures from outside. Every Year On Festival of Holi more than 1000 people gathered and celebrate the festival of colour and love. At night Holika Dahan is Celebrated with a loud music system. People from different nationalities dance together and get crazy in their whole another world.

21. Saheliyon Ki Bari

Saheliyon Ki Bari is a picturesque historical garden built by Maharana Sangram Singh for his wife, where the queen used to come with her 48 maids and friends to have leisure time here. This place is very beautiful for photography. It’s unique scientific architecture and symphony of water fountains will catch your eyes. And a very unique thing which can be enjoyed here is the art gallery, old pieces of artwork are really amazing and extremely beautiful. 22. Dhebar Lake or Jaisamand Lake

Udaipur is famously known as the “City of Lakes”. This city is surrounded by seven lakes with the largest lake being Dhebar Lake. Another popular name of Dhebar Lake is Jaisamand Lake which was the largest artificial lake of Asia built by Maharana Jai Singh at the distance of  48 km from udaipur. The magical thing about it is that it’s found in a which is also home to the Great Indian Thar Desert, this is a must-visit and you won’t be able to differentiate it from a giant sea. There’s a private resort in the middle of the lake and a motor ferry will take you over there. 23. Purohito Ka Talab

You will love the Indian Graffiti which will connect you to the culture of Rajasthan includes elephants, horse and many mundane activities.It is also referred as Mini Jaisamand. 24. Gangaur Ghat

The Gangaur Ghat received its name from the famous Gangaur Festival of our Mewar Located inside the heart of the city and at walking distance from city palace entry gate. You can also enjoy the traditional Rajasthani culture and dance show just behind this Ghat. The approach road is narrow and has very little parking space so it is better to take an auto to reach there from your hotel. As being a ghat and on riverside or lakeside still, this place is very clean and the experience is very charming. There is decent lighting at ghat and a temple of Lord Shiva and Shree Hanuman Ji.

25. Bhagor Ki Haveli

Bagore ki Haveli is located near the City Palace and adjacent to Lake PicholaThis Royal edifice a multi-story residence is having numerous bedrooms, washrooms, halls, music rooms, balconies, kitchen, and windows, which were renovated, and the makeover was to preserve its exquisitely beautiful interiors antiquity in the late nineteenth century. It’s one of the most popular edifices among the tourists. It served as a Royal guest House before independence and after it was used as a residence by the Rajasthan State Government.

This is a classically built mansion and now a popular museum and venue for live shows of Rajasthani colorful traditional folk dances and music with live commentary about the occasions. The museum is displaying the Mewar’s traditional arts and crafts, colorful costumes, puppets, musical instruments, popular painting works, etc.
