Is there an airport in Kota City, Rajasthan?
Yup, There is an airport but there hardly any plane landing or take off take place. This is really bad for the Kota students and parents because they have to take the train to go to Kota. However, if you want then you can come to Delhi or Jaipur by air and thereafter by train to Kota.
Sometime before Jaipur to Kota flight started but I am not sure still it running or not.
I don’t know why Kota’s airport is not active but the reason behind it may be the seasonal rush of student and parents to Kota, Only at the time of admission and after the course completion people head towards Kota.
Why Udaipur does not have an international airport?
Udaipur is a small tourist city in the Rajasthan state of India. Although it is a tourist city, it is not having enough people to have an international airport. The nearest international airport is Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport (SVPIA), Ahmedabad, which is around 250kms from Udaipur and well connected via road. If an international tourist wants to come in flight, then they can come via Mumbai or Delhi. Currently, from Udaipur airport, flights are only for 2 places i.e, Mumbai and Delhi. The airport authority is started direct flights to Bangalore, Hyderabad, and Kolkata.
