The Swaroop of Shreenathji Temple Nathdwara is self-manifested. It is located in Nathdwara, Rajsamand District. Shreenathji’s idol was brought from Govardhana to Rajasthan to protect it from Emperor Aurangzeb who wants to destroy the Vrindavan by the destroying Hindu temples in 1665. The statue was shifted to Agra for 6 months in search of a new place for Shreenath Ji.

Many of the princes of different cities were diffident to save the idol of Shreenath Ji but it was Maharana Raj Singh of Mewar who dared to provide refuge. After 32 months of the long journey, the idol went to Mewar.
The story behind the making of this temple is like when the priest was carrying the idol of Lord the wheel of chariot got stuck in the mud at a place known as Sihar and when the Rana saw this he thought as it is a divine sign that Lord Krishna wants to settle here and then the temple was built over it and then the town of Nathdwara grew around temple, on the banks of river Banas.

During Holi, Diwali, and Janmashtami, devotees have a very large number. Shreenath Ji temple is worth visiting the place and also people that are Non-Hindus and also foreigners are allowed here and they came here and visit this place with a feeling of spiritual delight.

Lake. Eklingji is a form of Lord Shiva and it was constructed in honor of Sisodia dynasty.
